Dr. Maolynne Miller M.B.B.S., F.R.C.P.(C ).
Founder and Chairperson

Dr. Maolynne Miller became Jamaica’s first paediatric nephrologist in 1984 and is the Founder and Chairperson of the Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation (JKKF). A former Associate Lecturer and Paediatric Nephrologist at the University of the West Indies and University Hospital of the West Indies (30 years), she now works full time at her private paediatric and paediatric nephrology practice at 8 Carvalho Drive, in Kingston. She is passionately committed to the care of children with kidney disease and the development of Paediatric Nephrology in Jamaica. Her conviction is that “all children with kidney disease, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity to live to their fullest potential”. In her spare time, she is an avid reader of suspense novels and enjoys all legal television shows.

Mr. William Tavares-Finson BS, MBA, JP
Founding Director

Mr. William G. L. Tavares-Finson is a founding director of the JKKF, and is also a real estate broker, a corporate investor and auctioneer. He sits on several corporate and Government Boards and has served on several non-profit organizations including the St Patrick’s Foundation, Jamaica Boxing Board of Control, and the Heart Foundation. Within these networks, he actively advocates for the interests of the JKKF. Mr. Tavares-Finson is known for his quick wit, ready smile, amazing sense of humour and insightful suggestions.

Mr. Craig Chin BSc (Hons)
Founding Director

Mr. Craig Chin has been a director of the Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation since its inception. Having graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Mr. Chin is currently a director of the Super Valu Group of Companies. He also serves on the board of Progressive Grocers of Jamaica Limited and is committed to the development of the Jamaican people. At his suggestion and through his influence with the member stores of Progressive Grocers of Jamaica Ltd., JKKF has been able to reach out to the Jamaican public (our largest contingency of regular donors) with our donation tins. Quiet by nature, Mr. Chin has a gentle, generous heart. He dislikes fanfare and is able to implement ingenious solutions to complex problems in an effortless manner.

Mr. Andrew Cocking
Founding Director

Mr. Andrew Cocking is a founding director of the JKKF. A trained engineer, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University and later pursued a Master of Science degree in Management and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University. He has over 30 years of experience in the banking and finance sector, including senior management positions at the now defunct Capital & Credit Financial Group (CCFG), which he co-founded with other shareholders and also worked with the defunct Issa Trust & Merchant Bank, now a part of the Sagicor Group. The Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation as a non-profit organisation benefits tremendously from Mr. Cocking’s expertise, enthusiasm and financial perspective in its aim to meet its financial goals. Despite his impressive resume, Mr. Cocking is an unassuming, fun-filled individual with an unmistakable, infectious laugh.

Ms. Erin Hayle, BSc (Hons)
Director and Company Secretary

Ms. Erin Hayle is passionate about helping to improve the lives of Jamaica’s children. Since 2015, she has been working with the Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation, where she manages the daily operations of the organization. At the JKKF, she uses her multiple skills, earned from her Psychology degree and work experience in Marketing and Education, to enhance the public outreach that she enjoys so much. She relishes in empowering people to take charge of their health. Ms. Hayle, who is also fluent in French and a lover of languages, in her spare time, enjoys reading, rom-coms, binge watching Netflix and dinner with friends.

Mrs. Trudy Francis BBA (Hons)
Director

Trudy Francis has worked in the Advertising Industry for almost 2 decades in the capacity of Copywriter, Creative Director,  Account Executive and Voice Talent. Trudy is a proud graduate of the University of Technology, where she studied Marketing and continues to consult in that area for a number of clients in Kingston, Jamaica. She brings her digital marketing skills and creativity to the Foundation as it continues to grow with greater purpose.

Born with a passion for music, Trudy has toured the world with some of Jamaica’s finest Reggae artistes. She is passionate about people and believes in the concept of giving back… “Everyone help ONE!”
